My nephew is 8 and he actually sat still for over an hour working on the bat and cat cards, which is a minor miracle. The pre-punched holes make it easy for small hands to follow, and the six colors kept him engaged the whole time.

My 7-year-old daughter loved that the cards were already punched so she could start threading right away. The bat and cat shapes are perfect for Halloween crafting. She finished two cards in one sitting without any frustration.

The pre-punched cards are convenient for little hands, but the string is thinner than expected and a few of the bats' edges tore while we were threading. It kept my 8-year-old busy for about an afternoon, though the finished pieces feel a bit flimsy to display.
